Alps - Prill beads 80g

ALPS Prill Beads are an optional water-filter accessory designed to be used with the ALPS Natural Gravity Fed Water Filter System. The manufacturer describes Prill Beads as all-natural beads intended to recondition and restructure drinking water, and states that they are made from magnesium oxide infused with "Life Force." The beads do not dissolve in water and are designed for long-term use within the filter system.

Prill Beads are supplied in bags and are used alongside the mineral stones in the lower tank of the ALPS water filter. They are an optional addition to the filtration system and are described by ALPS as an energising component of the system.

How to Use

Do not remove the Prill Beads from their bags. Rinse the bags thoroughly under running water for 2-3 minutes before use. Place the Prill Bead bags on top of the mineral stones, positioned on either side of the lower tank.

For ongoing maintenance, every 6-12 months place the Prill Bead bags in a jar covered with water and add either 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda or 100ml of pharmaceutical-grade hydrogen peroxide. Leave overnight, then rinse the bags thoroughly and allow them to dry naturally in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours before returning them to the filter.

Prill Beads are designed to remain in the filter rather than being removed between uses. When handling or maintaining the beads, keep them in their bags and allow them to dry completely after cleaning before placing them back into the filter.
