Alps - Replacement Ceramic Filter Dome

ALPS Ceramic Pre-Filter is the first stage of filtration in the ALPS Water Filter System, designed to remove fine particles and visible impurities before the water moves through the remaining filtration stages. Made from diatomaceous earth, the ceramic filter removes particles down to 0.2 microns and helps reduce rust, sediment, organic matter and microorganisms such as bacteria, cysts and parasites. It can also filter particles significantly smaller than the typical size of many microplastics.

Designed as a replacement component for the ALPS Water Filter System, the Ceramic Pre-Filter is easy to maintain and is intended to be cleaned periodically to help maintain water flow. Depending on water quality and usage, the manufacturer recommends replacing the filter every 6-9 months.

How to Use

Before first use, rinse the Ceramic Pre-Filter under running water and gently scrub the surface with a non-scratch scourer. Assemble the ceramic filter through the top tank of the ALPS Water Filter System using the supplied washer and wing-nut. During use, periodically remove the ceramic dome and gently clean it with a soft toothbrush or clean scourer under running water, particularly if residue builds up and slows the water flow. Replace the Ceramic Pre-Filter every 6-9 months, depending on water quality and usage.

When not installed, keep the Ceramic Pre-Filter clean and dry and store it in a cool, dry place away from contamination and excessive moisture.
